The world of tech is overwhelming. There's so much news, so many products, so many... things and the sad part is that a carbon unit like myself can't possibly cover it all. But today's scoop is different. We're going to cram in 10, or 13, or maybe 14 insane tech stories you probably missed from June. Buckle up, because we're about to launch into the tech news time warp.

As you know, AI is taking over the world; Figma, a design software, now has AI that can generate UIs from a description. Last week, I watched their keynote and boy was I scared... Figma's Config is what it's called and the following are what is kicking me from the designer Gigs:
From a complete UI redesign to "Suggest Auto Layout" which aims to automate the task of setting up Auto Layout for websites. The real showstopper was the introduction of "Figma Slides" - a new tool that brings the powers of Figma directly into presentations. However, the most intriguing (and potentially terrifying) was Figma's new suite of AI-powered features, which can remove backgrounds, translate text, and generate entire prototypes, raising questions about the future of design work and the looming threat of AI overlords.
Speaking of AI overlords!> There's a new AI code writer, Talking Sonet 3.5 (New AI model from Anthropic), which I find more capable than ChatGPT. Standout feature being artifacts which makes it very fast for research and follow-up prompts, by Running besides your normal AI as you work. We can't speak of AI and forget OpenAI which released a new model to find errors in code written by another AI model GPT-4.
Nvidia became the most valuable company in the world (at least for a day) because of the high demand for it's chips and A startup called Etched is all about creating a new chip specifically designed to run those complex Transformer models everyone's raving about. They're basically taking the Transformer architecture and burning it onto silicon, which should make things run much faster (ideally) and makes me wonder why the heck Microsoft hasn't been doing that...! However, there's a bit of a catch. If Transformers get replaced by a whole new, better architecture, then this company might be out of luck. (Just sayin 🤷)
Big companies are shoving AI down our throats: Apple is integrating AI into its products, and Microsoft is making AI assistants for laptops and phones. Meta is building an AI model that can write its own programming languages and please don't tell you meta AI assistant in WhatsApp to suggest a response because it's...... wirld!
Some not-so-good news from the tech giants: Kaspersky antivirus got banned in the US because of its ties to Putin (Mean Russia). Cloudflare, a content delivery network, tried to extort an online casino for a massive upfront payment. Adobe updated its terms of service to basically own all the content you create using their products. Apple might have to pay a $30B fine to the EU for violating digital market laws.
YouTuber drama: TechLead, a famous tech YouTuber, was accused of abusing the YouTube copyright system and .... Quit. (🥹😭😭😭😭)
JavaScript drama: A weird situation happened on GitHub where a prolific contributor opened a pull request to support a very outdated version of Node.js, FYI, React is still the most popular JavaScript framework. (😊)
I can't go with this one because YouTube’s new plan to fight ad blockers is to inject ads directly into videos. I might as well do the laundry instead of watching a McDonald ad in Muhanga.
Ahh wait, Before you go. This week I didn't listen to many podcasts or Researched or watched enough videos but if there's one, may be two things am pondering at these were my Best.
