Purpose — overrated or underrated?

Purpose - Overrated or Underrated? 🤔

Alright, before we dive any deeper, I need you to do something for me. Take a moment, really think about it, and then cast your honest vote. Are we putting too much pressure on the idea of purpose, or is it actually more important than we realize? Reply to this email with your answer - I'm dying to know what you think! 🤝

Aight, I want you to meet my two ideal friends and give them

Meet Anya. This man is a brilliant software engineer on a mission to design the world's most efficient windmill. Years of research, sleepless nights, and more prototypes than you can count - his creation finally stands tall, ready to revolutionize energy. Purpose achieved, right?

Ah, Well, then the unexpected happens. A raging storm rips through Anya's village, and probably you guessed it, that moment, she realizes her true impact isn't in the towering windmill at all. It's in the pure joy on her people' faces as the flickering lights come back on.

That story teaches me that, Purpose isn't this solitary mountain we have to conquer. It's a vibrant tapestry, woven together by all the little connections and moments of meaning we create every single day.

Ben

Speaking of which, let me introduce you to Ben. This guy's a traveling baker with no set plan whatsoever. He just follows the whispers of the wind, exploring bustling markets and learning forgotten recipes as he goes. His life may lack a grand, overarching goal, but his work is infused with this incredible excellence. For Ben, purpose is all about the constant dance of discovery, the pure bliss of living in the present moment.

Where am I going with this? Well, I've been wrestling with the idea of purpose, what it means, and if I even have one. My mentor recently flipped the script and said to him "Purpose isn't a fixed destination, but the journey itself. Exploring, making connections, finding excellence with everything you do either small or big – that's the map. It's not about Anya's perfect windmill, or its impact. It's not about Ben's exact recipe, but the way he does it and the excellence he brings. We hold the freedom to choose the path, not the pressure to reach a peak, that's purpose. CT

Next week ⏭️:

I'm fired up, my friend! I've just hit a major milestone on the biggest project for this newsletter, and next week I'm taking it even more aggressively. 🎉 Hold onto your hats!

Over the last couple weeks, I've also been paying close attention to this whole "tokens" business. You know your boy doesn't just take some random Wikipedia note at face value - I went deep down the rabbit hole to really understand how it all came to be and why they're called tokens in the first place (5why's methodology).

As disconnected as it may seem, this stuff actually relates to the very fabric of our existence and in next weeks you'll come with me as we exactly know how and why. I've distilled some of it all down, and I'm putting the final touches on sharing my findings with you.

Next week, we're diving into events and AI at the most basic level. I'm going to give you the full 10-minute download on everything I know about them. And the important part is that it's not boring physics or neural nets. By the time you're done reading, you'll be a certified expert- period.

🤍Fav's

Whew, this week has been a wild ride, and I've tried to pack as much as I could into as little reading time as possible for you guys. But if there's one thing I can leave you with, it's the drama and conspiracy theories that this podcast I've been listening to has brought me.

Now, if you know anything about physics and mathematics, definitely give it a listen. But even if those subjects aren't your forte, just throw it on while you're drifting off to sleep. Trust me, the narrative is captivating enough to keep you hooked.

Alright, that's all I've got for now. Get ready, because next week is going to be a doozy! 🚀

Keep scooping! ✌️
